It’ll temporarily replace your primary weapon if you pick it up, but you can drop it at any point. ![]() One bonus: Once they’re dead, the boomer drops their grenade launcher, which should have two grenades automatically loaded into it. You’ll have to concentrate fire on them to chew through their health bar. These large Locust move slowly, but that doesn’t matter, because they have a grenade launcher that can fire from a pretty decent distance, dealing serious damage and knocking back anyone caught in the blast. One explosion from them is usually enough to kill a grenadier at close range. If you can, punt them into a group of Locust, then shoot them, hopefully killing or massively damaging the group around them. This lowers their evasion stat immensely, usually resulting in a 90% to 100% chance of hitting them with a round of gunfire. You have a special move for these guys called the “ticker kick,” which lets you literally punt the little guys a few yards in any open direction. Worth noting: If you shoot at these guys during your turn and miss, they’ll automatically advance a couple yards, possibly close enough to explode in front of you, so make your shots count.
